Aeroplane flying high

This is my first aeroplane. I made it first of all as a test, to see how quickly I could get interesting results when modeling an aeroplane. The reason I did this is that I give 3D modeling classes and I wish to show my students how to make a model of some object based on reference material and how to set up the 3 views (top/side/front) in Cinema 4D. First I started out with a car, but I realised it would take too long before my students could achieve interesting results. Therefore I decided to try an aeroplane. This seems to be the right choice. Of course, after a while I got carried away and chose to make a complete scene.
The model is a Dassault Falcon 30 and the reference material was found on www.the-blueprints.com and on a Dassault website. The background is a photograph found using Google. It has a Creative Commons license and it seems OK for me to use it. The title is "Clouds over Croatia, seen from above" by Ante Perkovic.

A rather dark bathroom...

This is a picture I made for fun. It is based on photos found via Google searches and some imagination. The software I used is Cinema 4D r.10.5 with the use of Advanced Render and Hair module. Only procedural materials have been used here. I decided to not to increase the intensity of the lighting (as would be expected in a bathroom), because the dark atmosphere actually quite appeals to me. Comments are welcome.

I made this model for the portfolio of my company as an example of an architectural visualisation. The actual model is a CAD model from the book "Light Shadow Space with Cinema 4D" by Horst Sondermann. I converted this CAD model from .DWG format into a C4D scene by untriangulating it. Although some materials were imported by Cinema 4D from the CAD model, I chose to delete them and completely build my own. Most of the model has been UV mapped. In addition I added some trees from Xfrog.

I made an animated version of this model that can be seen on my company website.

NASA Lunar Lander

This model was the result of an exercise for a 3D modeling course that I took last year. I used Google to find images of the lunar lander(s) and constructed my own interpretation based on these. A thing that I should note here is that after I had finished modeling I by accident surfed the NASA website and encountered much beter reference material there than I had found using just Google. The modeling was very fun. In fact this model is made to be animated. The "landing gear" can move up and down as in the real landers.

Triangular spaceships in the desert sunset...

This is a composite that I made for fun. The background picture is just one I found with Google. The spaceships are based on a plastic model. I have had some comments about the "missing shades" below the spaceships. Well, as the title of the work says, we're dealing with a sunset here. Therefore there will be no shadows below the spaceships, but rather behind them. These shadows fall outside the image and hence we don't see them.

Portrait of a girl with long dark hair

This is a portrait that I made for the portfolio of my company. I found some photos of a girl on the internet and modeled her face based on these. The model was made in Cinema 4D using the Hair module. A difficulty that I encountered was that the hairs had a tendency to fall through the model of the head instead of bouncing off. In addition, there seems to be a little problem with the upper lip. But apart from these tiny issues, I'm quite satisfied with the result.
